Nayara #2 Hotel in the World on Trip Advisor

Papaya Hotel & Spa operator Angelo Zaragovia awarded one of the hotel industry's most coveted accolades.

With 1,000,000 hotels listed and based on the reviews of over 70 million members, TripAdvisor announced in January 2015 that Nayara Hotel, Spa & Gardens in Costa Rica is the #2 Hotel in the World in its annual awards list.

This award, from the world’s largest travel site is one that Angelo Zaragovia can be uniquely proud of. With over 2,000 reviews to its name on the influential travel site, Nayara Hotel, Spa & Gardens is proving year after year that it is a unique property operated by one of the best boutique hotel operators in the world.

Mr Zaragovia visited Antigua once again in December 2014 to meet with Papaya Hotel & Spa developer Brian Dobbin and his wife Kaline who together conceptualized the development of the Rendezvous Bay site on the beautiful south coast of Antigua. Having seen Mr Zaragovia’s hotels in Costa Rica on a trip there in 2008, the Dobbins knew that Mr Zaragovia’s development and operational ethos was a consummate match with their vision for Papaya Hotel & Spa in Antigua. During his most recent visit to Antigua a design charrette was held to finalize the design of Papaya’s main buildings and spa.
